'Everything exists in the space between the stimulus and response. In that space lies your power for choice, opportunities, freedom and growth'
“Belonging so fully to yourself that you're willing to stand alone is a wilderness -- an untamed, unpredictable place of solitude and searching. It is a place as dangerous as it is breathtaking, a place as sought after as it is feared. The wilderness can often feel unholy because we can't control it, or what people think about our choice of whether to venture into that vastness or not. But it turns out to be the place of true belonging, and it's the bravest and most sacred place you will ever stand”
- Brené Brown
"I help you unravel the complexities of life, gain greater awareness and understanding of who you are and why you do what you do, identify unconscious patterns and conditionings that are no longer serving you and guide you to connect to what you truly want"
My journey into the counselling profession is an accumulation of a lifetime fascination with observing and exploring the human condition. My passion for self-development to gain a level of true self-awareness and understanding, has helped to challenge, and ultimately shatter the limiting beliefs and conditionings that I held.
This has facilitated growth and expansion within my personal and professional life which has connected me more deeply, not only to myself, but the world around me. In pursuit of my perpetual evolution in this area I consistently engage in personal therapy sessions so I can remain objective and self-aware in my personal and professional life.
I have ‘lived experience’ in many diverse areas of life, which has given me an expanded and open mind, allowing you the freedom to talk honesty and openly about a wide range of subjects without the need to censor or hide your true self. I have vast experience working with those who identify as anything but mainstream, and there are no topics that are ‘off limits’ or uncomfortable for me. With a background in managing my own business in hairdressing, I have honed my listening skills, and whatever you choose to share will be honoured with discretion and without judgment.
I studied counselling at the Australian Collage of Applied Psychology and I abide by the ethical codes of conduct, practices and informed care of the Australian Counselling Association.
I am also supervised by a qualified supervisor as part of my ongoing commitment to maintaining high practitioner standards as well as continually upskilling with professional development, workshops and courses.
