How I Work
At Grounded Space, the foundation of my work is safety, trust, empowerment, and deep respect for your lived experience.
No two people are the same — and I honour that. My approach is always attuned to who you are, where you’ve come from, and what’s needed in the moment. I work one-on-one in a collaborative, responsive way, helping you build self-awareness, understand your patterns, and reconnect with your innate capacity for healing and growth
When Talking Alone Hasn’t Worked
Many of the people I work with have tried talk therapy or cognitive approaches like CBT and found they only went so far. They’re not just “a little stuck.” They’re carrying things that run deep — and they’re ready for a different kind of support.
You might be:

-
Navigating complex relationships — including infidelity, rupture, communication struggles, or past relational harm
-
Exploring ethical non-monogamy or kink and needing a space that’s affirming — open-minded, not judgmental, and truly welcoming to all of you
-
Living with the lasting impact of childhood trauma — including neglect, abuse, or emotional disconnection — that still affects your relationships, self-worth, and sense of safety today
-
Trying to set boundaries but still collapsing around the needs of others
-
Caught in cycles of anxiety, shame, people-pleasing, or overthinking
-
Feeling emotionally flat, numb, overwhelmed, or disconnected from yourself
-
Questioning your identity, sexuality, or relationship style and wanting support to explore it safely
-
Using substances, behaviours, or roles to cope — but sensing there’s something deeper underneath
-
Longing for more presence, meaning, or connection in your life, but unsure where to begin
Supporting the Whole of You
I don’t follow a one-size-fits-all model. Instead, I bring together the most resonant elements of a range of therapeutic frameworks — creating a flexible, holistic space that supports your emotional, mental, physical, relational, and spiritual wellbeing.
Modalities I draw from include:

-
Process-Oriented Psychology (Processwork)
-
Internal Family Systems (IFS) – informed
-
Somatic Experiencing (SE) – informed
-
Existential and Transpersonal Therapy
-
Compassion-Focused Therapy
Each of these frameworks allows space for depth, nuance, and complexity — and I weave them together in a way that’s grounded, intuitive, and responsive to you.
For the Parts Beyond Words
The therapy I offer isn’t about fixing what’s broken — it’s about remembering what’s true.
My work meets you at the depth of your human experience — with all its pain, uncertainty, longing, and change — while also holding space for the sacred, the intuitive, and the parts of you that reach beyond the everyday.
I draw from models that explore meaning, identity, embodiment, and spiritual emergence.
But more than that, I bring presence.
Deep, attuned, respectful presence — so that whatever’s here can be heard, felt, and integrated into your becoming.
From the Body, Not Just the Mind
A key part of my work involves a bottom-up approach — meaning we pay attention to the body, not just the story.
Together, we’ll explore how emotions, tension, trauma, and truth live in your system. We might notice breath patterns, nervous system responses, or subtle sensations.
This kind of embodied awareness can help with:

-
Anxiety and emotional overwhelm
-
Chronic tension or shutdown
-
Nervous system regulation
-
Impulsivity and reactivity
-
Restoring a sense of internal safety
Over time, this reconnects you with your body’s intelligence and makes room for more clarity, presence, and choice.
I also weave in knowledge of trauma neurobiology and early attachment — particularly how early experiences shape your relationships, boundaries, and sense of self.
Areas of Specialisation
My ongoing training and deep client work have led me to focus on areas such as:

-
Relationships – navigating infidelity, conflict, communication struggles, ethical non-monogamy, and the residue of past relational harm
-
Sexuality – creating space for exploration around desire, identity, fantasies, kink, and empowerment
-
Developmental & Childhood Trauma – honouring the impact of neglect, abuse, emotional disconnection, and unmet childhood needs
-
Attachment & Co-regulation – understanding patterns of closeness, avoidance, codependency, and relational repair
-
Addiction & Emotional Coping – supporting people to move through stuck patterns with curiosity and compassion
-
Somatic Awareness – tracking how your body stores survival strategies, and gently inviting release and restoration
-
Spiritual Integration & Individuation – reconnecting with your deeper self and inner guidance beyond the roles you’ve had to play
“So much of what we call abnormality in this culture is actually normal responses to an abnormal culture. The abnormality does not reside in the pathology of individuals, but in the very culture that drives people into suffering and dysfunction.”

Why This Work Is Different
Therapy doesn’t have to follow a script.
And healing doesn’t always happen through words alone.
The work I offer is integrative, experiential, and deeply attuned. It’s not bound by one framework or textbook theory — instead, it draws from a wide field of approaches that centre the whole of you: mind, body, emotions, relationships, and the parts of you that exist beyond language.
I don’t treat symptoms in isolation, or try to “fix” what’s showing up on the surface. Together, we get curious about what your system is trying to express — and support it from the inside out.

Body-Based and Presence-Led
Many clients come to me after trying talk therapy or cognitive approaches like CBT, and feeling like something was still missing.
This work is different — because it includes the body.
Your body holds the imprint of your experiences: the tension you carry, the shutdown you’ve adapted to, the signals you’ve learned to ignore just to get through. In this work, we slow down and listen.
Together, we track sensations, breath, impulse, and feeling — gently following your system’s cues to support nervous system regulation, release survival patterns, and build a deeper sense of internal safety.
Somatic work isn’t about pushing through. It’s about returning to the body as a source of wisdom, resilience, and truth.
Beyond Surface Solutions
This work welcomes all of you — even the parts that feel too messy, too much, or not enough.
We’re not trying to force change or perform insight. We’re listening for what wants to be known. Felt. Integrated.
This isn’t therapy as performance. This is therapy as remembering.
A return to what is real, whole, and quietly true.
Beginning Together
If you’re looking for a space that’s grounded, open-minded, and non-judgmental — where nothing about you is too much or too strange — I welcome you.
You don’t need to have all the words. Just the willingness to start.
